Moscow, September 10th. / TAS/. The Moscow Court arrested Dmitri Zacharchenko, Deputy Director of T, which specializes in fuel and energy complex crimes, the General Directorate for Economic Security and Anti-Corruption.
He is charged under three articles of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, the abuse of authority (art. 285), the obstruction of justice and preliminary investigation (art. 294) and the receipt of bribery (art. 290). The case is being investigated by the General Investigation Department of the SC of the Russian Federation on Moscow. A senior official of the Ministry of Internal Affairs was arrested until 8 November, and the defence would appeal against the decision.
Until the time of arrest, Colonel Zacharchenko of the police temporarily served as head of the T department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. He started his service at the GUEBPC in 2005.
Detention
For two days, on 8 and 9 September, Zacharchenko was investigated, his office was searched by FSB operatives and the Department of Internal Security of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and was questioned as a suspect. "A large amount of money was found in the searches, the origin of which is determined," said earlier the agency's source. By the evening of Friday, 9 September, it had been reported that Zacharchenko had been detained in a criminal case brought under an offence of abuse of authority.
The investigation was referred to the Presnan Court of Moscow.
Nota Banca case
According to the media, earlier in the investigation of the theft of funds from the Nota Banca investors, the co-owners of this credit institution, the ex-President of the Dmitri Eurohin board and his brother Vadim, were arrested. As the newspaper "Kommersantha," in particular, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia accuses them of special fraud, which could cost up to two dozen billion roubles.
According to the publication, the investigation into the leadership of Nota Banca began following the referral to the police by the Director of Mostrost, Vladimir Vlasova, who deposited a deposit of 1,5 billion roubles on 5 August 2015 for a bank guarantee of 2,2 billion roubles. However, subsequently, in October 2015, when it was discovered that a temporary administration was in place in the Note Bank, Mostrotrust decided to waive the guarantee and return its money, but it was not possible to do so.
